WHAT’S NEW AT FELDERSTEIN FITZGERALD WILLOUGHBY & PASCUZZI


California Continuing Education of the Bar completely revised its two-volume treatise, "Personal and Small Business Bankruptcy Practice in California," for the changes made to the Bankruptcy Code by enactment of the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005. Steven H. Felderstein and Paul J. Pascuzzi revised chapter 12 entitled "Representation of Individual and Small Business Debtors in Chapter 11," which they co-authored in 2003.

Steven H. Felderstein continues to teach the bankruptcy course as an Adjunct Professor at University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.

Steven H. Felderstein was a panelist (April 20, 2007) at the ALF-ABA Commercial Lending and Bankruptcy Law - 2007 program entitled "Insolvency, Bankruptcy and Workouts".

Steven H. Felderstein was a panelist (January 20, 2007) at the annual State Bar Section Education Institute entitled "Bankruptcies of the 'Rich' and Famous: Individual Chapter 11 Cases after BAPCPA".

Steven H. Felderstein was a panelist (February 7, 2007) at the Beverly Hills Bar Association entitled "Bankruptcies of the 'Rich' and Famous: Individual Chapter 11 Cases after BAPCPA".

Steven H. Felderstein and Marc Levinson continue to report annually on recent developments in bankruptcy cases and statutory law at a joint meeting of the Sacramento County Bar Association's Business Law and Bankruptcy & Commercial Law sections (October 2007).

Steven H. Felderstein continues to be on the San Francisco faculty of Practicing Law Institute's annual program, "Understanding the Basics of Bankruptcy & Reorganization, 2005." (November 2007)

Paul J. Pascuzzi was a panelist at the Insolvency Law Committee webinar entitled, "Recent Developments - The Ninth Circuit Review, January - June 2007," presented by the California State Bar, Business Law Section in July 2007.

Paul J. Pascuzzi was a panelist at the seminar entitled, "Business Law Practice: 27th Annual Recent Developments" presented by the California State Bar Business Law Section in March 2007. The program is an annual review of business law changes that will have the most impact on the practices of attorneys in the field of business and commercial law.

Paul J. Pascuzzi was a panelist at the Insolvency Law Committee webinar entitled, "Recent Developments - The Ninth Circuit Review, July - December 2006," presented by the California State Bar, Business Law Section in February 2007.

Paul J. Pascuzzi was a panelist at the Northern California 6th Annual Bankruptcy Conference, "7, 11 & 13 Tax Issues," presented by the Sacramento Valley Bankruptcy Forum, February 2007.

Paul J. Pascuzzi was a panelist at the Insolvency Law Committee webinar, "Recent Developments - The Ninth Circuit Review, January - June 2006," presented by the California State Bar, Business Law Section, July 2007.

Paul J. Pascuzzi is serving a three year term on the Executive Committee of the Business Law Section of the State Bar of California from 2006 - 2009. Paul will be Secretary for the 2007 - 2008 term.

Paul J. Pascuzzi is serving a one year term as Secretary of the California Bankruptcy Forum and continues as a Board member of the California Bankruptcy Forum representing the Sacramento Valley Bankruptcy Forum.

Paul J. Pascuzzi is serving a three year term as a Board member of the Sacramento Valley Bankruptcy Forum.

Paul J. Pascuzzi served a one-year term as Chair of the State Bar Business Law Section Insolvency Committee from October 2005 to October 2006. The Insolvency Law Committee evaluates and advocates changes in federal and state laws affecting creditors and debtors; sponsors of a broad variety of educational programs in cooperation with the State Bar and local bar associations; and prepares articles on current developments and practice aides to assist practitioners.

Paul J. Pascuzzi was a panelist at the seminar "Bankruptcy Reform: Changing the Ground Rules for Personal and Small Business Bankruptcy Practice" presented by the California Continuing Education of the Bar in Sacramento in October 2005. This program focused on the provision of the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005 which impact personal and small business bankruptcy practice.

Paul J. Pascuzzi was a Co-Chair for the 2005 California Bankruptcy Forum 17th Annual Conference in Rancho Mirage, California.
