Karen has been a legal assistant since 1977. She is an expert in the administration of large and complicated bankruptcy cases. Her skills include: preparing and filing of bankruptcy cases; drafting all types of motions required in bankruptcy cases, such as applications to employ professionals, fee motions, and motions for relief from the automatic stay; performing on-line UCC searches; performing on-line searches for corporate and limited partnership records; and, drafting post-judgment collection pleadings in civil litigation cases.

Karen received an Associate of Arts in 1977 from Portland Community College, Portland, Oregon.

Karen was a co-presenter with Tom Willoughby at a training program for bankruptcy trustees sponsored by the Sacramento Office of the United States Trustee in June 1997.
